Deana and I travelled to Moncton yesterday (car appointment and sanitizing supplies for the ski club were our justifications!).

We stopped at a couple of places to check on birds. Well in Cocagne, near the bridge, we saw a Song Sparrow. Poor thing was

finding something to eat on a small patch of bare grass, perhaps the grass itself. We left some sunflower seeds for it, her is hoping it found them.

The male cardinal was here with the blue jays also, but by the time I got to the camera they took off.

Here is the redpoll, been here for three days now, best photo I can get through the snow and a glass door.

A small flock of Common Redpolls seem to be hanging about Strawberry Marsh this week. So too is a Northern Shrike, apparently.
