Tuesday April 17th – interesting day: Battle of Beaver Island (MM)… Canada Geese pair attacked other nesting pair by water from the north and battle ensued. Could not tell who won, they were wearing the same uniform! Visit to Hay Island resulted in seeing a number of interesting song birds as well as some usual waterfowl. Day ended with a visit (contrived) from a pair of barred owls.

  1. Is it a regular visitor?

    • One flew though a couple of months ago. Ann A. who lives nearby has seen one around here recently.

  2. I had trouble “accepting” the invitation to be an author .It came up error and I was unsuccessful cutting and pasting as well .

  3. Nice photos of the Ruffled Grouse. Is the Millbank Trail groomed for hiking all winter or did you snowshoe in?

    • The snowshoeing was very good. The trail is well used. It was a lovely walk.
