Butterflies Getting Harder to Spot

As September comes to an end, it is harder to find butterflies “on the wing” (other than Cabbage Whites and Clouded Sulphurs). These Pecks Skippers were seen near Camp Sheldrake on Saturday. These are members of the second generation for 2014 and the first time I’ve seen them this late in the season.

(A collection  of butterfly photos, still a work in progress, from this season at  https://flic.kr/s/aHsk2E4zE5  )
